senior general secondary education/pre-university education end-of-year papers
The students work on challenges to make society greener. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment is the client. Assignments are presented at the ministry.
In this research programme the students are working with senior policy managers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. The ministry is looking for creative and innovative ideas and results that can be translated into policies. In order to achieve this, the students of the Worldschool Network get to work with renowned research institutes and expert scientists. It is important to involve young people so they can be committed to their own future.
In 2018, the ministry has granted ten assignments which are partially focused on the local execution of topics such as:
– a climate scan of your own municipality;
– scenarios for energy transition on all levels;
– basis for climate policy (e.g. in your own school);
– the circular municipality;
– urban mining
– roundabouts of raw materials
– sketching a conceivable ‘circular society’;
– the end of ownership;
– business as usual is history?
– measuring prosperity: How happy are the people in your school?
