Living Biographies" encompasses a wide range of projects. In all these projects, students create biographies of people from other countries. The students 'recreate' these people, often with help from the visual arts. The educational technique of "Living Biographies" provides a strong bond. The students can even participate in discussions on behalf of their individual.
The project 'life stories' is a pilot project CSG Comenius Leeuwarden. Students get no information from the archive, but bring some information back to it: life stories about the "new Friesians, from many different countries of origin.

Other applications in-development are:

  • International study of prejudice.

  • The 65 or so nationalities in your own city.

  • The international conference of historical figures.

See for a powerful example of a living biography project: China-Grun'n project (sorry, Dutch only)
