In Worldschool consultancy, research & design we aim at publishing student publications in research magazines and on websites. We are developing our own research magazine 'Werk aan de wereld'. Worldschool provides the format and editorial instructions.

Tanzania sustainable tourism
"We have chosen to design a plan for sustainable tourism, with which the Tanzaniaworkgroup Haren, our client, can work together with the inhabitants of the Same municipality. The Tanzaniaworkgroup Haren is looking for a way to offer Dutch tourists an interesting cultural experience for a few days in which ‘the experiencing of the Tanzanian community from inside out' is the central topic."

Battery problem Senegal (Dutch only)
Senegal is een zonnig land, het is dan ook erg handig om gebruik te maken van zonne-energie want zonnecellen leveren elektrische energie. De zonnecellen worden opgeslagen in accu's. Alleen er is een probleem: er is in Senegal geen inzamelingsen verwerkingssysteem voor oude accu's. Hoe kunnen we voorkomen dat het milieu in Senegal gaat vervuilen, want de schadelijke stoffen kunnen ze niet kwijt. Welk lokaal haalbare technische oplossingen zijn er te ontwikkelen en hoe kunnen deze de lokale economie versterken.
Wij hebben de problemen in Senegal geanalyseerd en gekeken hoe we deze het beste kunnen oplossen. We hebben uitgezocht hoe het in Nederland wordt geregeld en hoe we deze oplossingen kunnen gebruiken in Senegal.

 Marketing plan for Yoshinkhel (English)
Yoshinkhel is a backward community in the city of Bhaktapur in Nepal. It is a community that is rich in culture, art and religion but suffers greatly from poverty. A group of five people is going to address several issues that the people at Yoshinkhel have regarding the sales of their knitted goods. The people at the centre are looking for a market and a target group for their knitted goods, as well as a way to promote their goods in order to increase the sales. These issues will be addressed in the paper of Ilona Jankovits, Tim van der Weert and Leonie Goettsch.

Met een groep van aanvankelijk 13 man kregen we de opdracht tot het opzetten van een (winstgevend) ICT-centre met eigen stroomvoorziening, in het aan ons toegewezen dorp Kiyinda...

Eating spoiled meat (Dutch only)
Een artikel van Christine Lamberti en Afra Levens, Praedinius Gymnasium Groningen. In Maraigudem, een onderontwikkeld dorpje in India, eten de bewoners veel rauw vlees en ja, af en toe is dit bedorven. Hoe gezond is dit?

 Beekeeping in Uganda
Seven students worked on a so called ‘beekeeping guide' for Nyaketeete in Uganda. In the guide local people can find lots of information on beekeeping including how to find a micro credit.

Wat is de invloed van het koken van vlees op het aantal aanwezige bacteriën? Uitvoerig, goed uitgevoerd onderzoek door Christine Lamberti, Afra Levens en Stieneke van Heerikhuizen.

De pan from Senegal 
In Bignona (Senegal) father and son sit next to each other in small workshops directly off the main road. They are foundries. For castings, anything that consists out of aluminum is being used: parts of engine blocks, connecting rods, moped cylinders etc. The question is whether the food that is being cooked in these pans is safe for consumption.

The soapfactory
A team of pupils works on the design of a soap factory for a village in Tanzania. The developmental workers on site do not have any know-how about the fabrication of soap. They ask for help, also in name of the group of women who want to found the soap factory.

Water for a school
Five teams of the Helen Parkhurst Almere (5V) each made a design for a water facility at a primary school in Mityana, Uganda. One of the pupils points out: ‘I thought they had no water at all, while they do, but not clean water.' When the groups presented their results, every group seemed to have worked out inventive ideas. 

 ICT-centre
The village that asked Nabuur for help is Jinja Central, which is situated in Uganda. Paul Bulenzi is the local representative here. His question is whether an ICT-centre can be founded for several orphan childs and handicapped children. It revolves around 20 children that through a good education with computers can improve their chances for a good future.
